Description: 16 oz (1 lb.) - 99.8% pure oxalic acid (wood bleach) crystals. Many collectors find this to be an indespensable tool for removing train soot and the tough dirt and grime from insulators. Once mixed, the oxalic acid bath can be used to clean many insulators. If the solution weakens over time, no need to discard, just add additional oxalic acid crystals. Our product contains no fillers or other chemicals and is cheaper than "Bar Keepers Friend"!
Important Safety Information: If you have never used oxalic acid to clean your insulators, please read the helpful instructions at www.insulators.info very carefully before you begin!
Do not use oxalic acid to clean carnival glass, flashed amber, or opalescent insulators as it will damage the coating. Use lye for those surfaces. Also, there have been reports that oxalic acid can damage certain Tel Fed Mex insulators. Addition information can be found here!
Disclaimer: The Insulator Store is not responsible for misuse, accidents, damage to insulators or your person resulting from the use of this product.
