REGISTRATION
All persons wishing to purchase through “Buy It Now” or auctions, need to register a user account. This is a one time process. Our auctions will show the bid history with usernames for transparency so choose a username wisely. Your personal information is completely secure. (Note the https:// and the “lock” in the address bar) We will never sell your private information or use it in anyway other than to conduct business through this website.
ITEM REMOVAL / SALE POSTPONEMENT
The Insulator Store reserves the right to remove any items from the sale at any time, and refuse any and all bids for any reason. If, during the auction period an act or circumstance takes place which impedes or affects normal auction procedure, the auction can be postponed, terminated or extended at The Insulator Store’s discretion.
FIXED PRICE LISTINGS
By using the "Buy It Now" feature, you are agreeing to the following terms and are entering a legal binding agreement to follow through with the purchase of those item(s). Please note: items are not held in a shopping cart environment and once "Buy It Now" is clicked, you have committed to the purchase!
AUCTIONS
By placing a bid you are agreeing to the following terms and are entering a legal binding agreement to follow through with the purchase of those item(s). Items are sold to the highest bidder. The user with the highest successful bid "wins" the auction. All auctions have a 12% buyers premium that will be added to the invoice. Please note: bids are non retractable for any reason, please use caution when bidding!
WHEN BIDDING
We use shared servers which may encounter downtime and speed issues. To avoid missing out, we strongly recommend that you place your bid early in the auction. The proxy bidding system will not reveal your maximum bid amount to other bidders, and will place bids at the minimum increments as needed during the progress of the auction. In this way you will avoid problems from trying to scramble near the close of the auction.
MINIMUM BID INCREMENTS
$.99 to $19.99 - $1 increments
$20 to $99.99 - $5 increments
$100 to $249.99 - $10 increments
$250 to $499.99 - $25 increments
$500 to $1,999.99 - $50 increments
$2,000 to $9,999.99 - $100 increments
$10,000+ - $250 increments
PROXY BIDDING
Our auctions use a proxy bid system. For an item that already has bids, the minimum bid that you may place is one bid increment above the current selling price. Beyond that amount, we do not require your additional bid amount to be aligned with any pre-set increment. Should the item continue to receive bids, the proxy bid feature will continue to bid on your behalf until another bidder surpasses your stored bid.
SNIPE BID PROTECTION
If a bid is placed within 6 minutes of the auction end time, that auction is automatically extended by 6 minutes. The auction for that lot will continue until no further bids are placed. There is no need to wait until the end to try and "snipe" an item, so get those bids in early.
PAYMENT
Payment is due immediately upon receipt of emailed invoice. If full payment is not received promptly, the purchase contract may be voided at the discretion of The Insulator Store, and the item(s) re-listed. Payments shall be made via PayPal, with a credit card through PayPal, personal check or money order. Please do not send us your credit card information, all transactions will go through Paypal with a link provided on the emailed invoice. If paying via check or money order, kindly let us know.
BUYER'S PREMIUM
A 12% buyers premium applies to auction items only. This fee will be applied to your invoice.
SALES TAX
State law requires that we collect 6% sales tax for all items shipped to Pennsylvania residents. Sales tax will be added to your invoice if applicable.
SHIPPING
All items will be shipped via United States Postal Service. Actual shipping cost and insurance (based on purchase price) will be added to your invoice. We do not up-charge for shipping, you only pay what it costs to ship your items. We will automatically combine multiple items to save you on shipping costs. INSURANCE
Although extremely rare, shipping damage or lost packages can occur. We package all items with care; however, postal insurance is mandatory for all purchases. Insurance is included on all packages up to $50 and will be an extra charge on packages above $50. If you discover shipping damage, save all packaging materials, and contact us immediately.
NON PAYING CUSTOMERS
If an invoice remains unpaid after one week, we will try and contact you by email to remind you of your purchase. After two weeks if an invoice remains unpaid we will attempt to contact you via phone. If we are unable to contact you via phone, we will send you an invoice via USPS mail. If an invoice remains unpaid after three weeks all items will be re listed for sale and the users account will be blocked indefinitely from future purchases and bids. We are also able to report non paying customers to the main credit bureaus.
DAMAGE & COLOR
Items will be listed for "Buy It Now" or auction that have varying degrees of damage. We will always do our best to describe all imperfections, no matter how slight they may seem. Please look at all photos carefully as they are part of the description. We will always do our best to describe colors as accurately as possible. Everyone sees colors differently and monitors/mobile devices show colors differently. By purchasing or placing a bid on such an item, you signify your understanding and agreement with this term of sale.
RETURNS
Your satisfaction is important to us and we want you to be happy with your purchase. We offer a return privilege for any "Buy It Now" or auction item(s) you are not completely satisfied with, for ANY reason. If you feel we mis-represented an item or you just want to return, please contact us within 3 days of receiving your item(s) and let us know you would like to return it. All returns will be credited minus the shipping cost, returns will not be accepted after the 3rd day. (per delivery time stamp on the tracking information.)
